The 6th Baku International Biennale of Contemporary Art "Aluminum" was organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Union of Artists of Azerbaijan from November 20 to 25 in Baku.  The Biennale featured paintings, graphics, sculpture, installations, video art, photographs, as well as performances by Azerbaijani, German and Georgian artists, and a conference on "Contemporary Art Today, Achievements, Challenges and Prospects."

Within the framework of the VI Baku International Biennale of Contemporary Art, exhibitions were organized at the Palace of Shirvanshahs, Museum Center, Exhibition Hall named after V.Samadova, Center for Contemporary Art in Icheri Sheher, Gallery 1969 and Gala State Historical and Ethnographic Reserve.  The Biennale was attended by more than 40 foreign artists and about 30 Azerbaijani artists.

Artists, art critics and curators from dozens of countries around the world have been taking part in the Baku International Biennale of Contemporary Art "Aluminum", which has been traditionally held in Baku since 2003.
