In 2022, the 9th Beijing International Biennale of Art will be held in the People's Republic of China.

Launched in 2003, the Beijing International Art Biennale is a major project approved by the State Council and the Central Government of China.  The Beijing Biennale promotes global harmony with contemporary art exhibitions, uniting western and eastern cultures, thus supporting artists around the world.  The exhibition is scheduled for January 18-March 1, 2022.  The exhibition will be held at the National Museum of Art of China, Beijing (main venue) and non-sport stadiums (branch locations) of the 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.  The general theme of the exhibition is "Light of Life".  The theme of the exhibition symbolizes peace, unity, friendship and brilliance.  The exhibition will feature works of various characteristics, including paintings, sculptures, installations and video samples, to promote contemporary art with a variety of works of art.
